Cloud Technologies Blog - About Myke Rylance

[Blog]

Welcome to MR-Tech-Talk, my personal blog dedicated to all things cloud and increasingly, all things AI. I'm Myke Rylance, and this is the space where I share my thoughts, experiences, and insights across the ever-evolving world of cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. Whether you're a seasoned cloud architect or just starting your journey, there's something here for you, from deep technical dives to practical perspectives on where cloud and AI are heading next.

[Author]

Hi, I'm Myke Rylance, a cloud technologist, solution architect, and AI enthusiast with a passion for making complex technology make sense.

Over a career spanning more than 25 years, I've worked at the intersection of enterprise technology and cloud transformation, helping organisations navigate some of the most significant infrastructure shifts of our time. My work has taken me deep into hyperscaler platforms, including Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud, and I've had the privilege of bringing those solutions to life for enterprises and service providers across EMEA.

More recently, I've developed a genuine fascination with artificial intelligence, not just as a technology trend, but as a practical tool for solving real problems. I enjoy experimenting with AI agents, exploring how large language models can be applied in enterprise and startup contexts, and writing about what's actually useful versus what's just hype. If you're trying to cut through the noise and understand where AI fits into your technology strategy, you'll find some of that thinking here.

I bring a strong technical foundation, backed by over 20 certifications across vendors including VMware, Google, AWS, and Microsoft, alongside enterprise architecture skills grounded in TOGAF and project delivery experience in Prince2 and Agile frameworks. That combination has allowed me to do what I enjoy most: bridge the gap between technical complexity and real business outcomes, whether that's building a business case, designing a solution, or setting a strategic technology direction.

I'm also a regular speaker at industry events, from large-scale stages like VMware Explore, Google Cloud Next, and AWS re:Invent, to community-driven forums like VMUGs and I genuinely enjoy the conversations those events spark.

At its core, this blog is about knowledge sharing. I write because I believe the cloud and AI space moves fast, and the best way to keep up is to stay curious, stay connected, and keep the conversation going.
